An explosion at an ice cream shop in Henan province

On July 7, a tragic explosion in Luoshan County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, turned the lives of a mom-and-pop shop into a tragedy.

According to the staff of the Luoshan County Emergency Management Bureau, after preliminary verification, the explosion accident was caused by the failure of the freezer compressor.

In the video posted by netizens, we can see that the sign of the store has fallen off half, and the words "ice cream", "cold drink wholesale and retail" and "Luoshan total distribution" are clearly written on it. Even more shocking was the fact that one of the boxes, which appeared to be inside two freezers, had been toppled in the doorway, while the other was on the steps a few metres away.

The explosion brought huge losses to the mom-and-pop shop, the husband died after the rescue failed, and the wife suffered extensive burns and is still receiving treatment. The accident is sad, but also triggered people's concern and worry about the safety of the freezer.
